Certification Engineer – Aircraft Seating

Spencer Riley is collaborating with a leading aerospace interiors manufacturer, and we are currently seeking a Certification Engineer to join their growing team. The position will be focused on supporting certification processes for aircraft seating, including compliance documentation, regulatory engagement and participation in design reviews. The role is based full-time in Naples, Italy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert support on structural and flammability testing for materials and seat systems
• Coordinate directly with aviation authorities and customer engineering teams
• Prepare and validate technical documentation required for EASA certification
• Participate in design review meetings to ensure compliance with ETSO andCS-25 standards
• Interpret regulatory requirements and support project success through accurate certification processes

Qualifications:

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in aviation certification
• Strong understanding of EASA regulatory requirements, particularly ETSO andCS-25
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in technical documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and VBA macros
• Fluent in English
• Willingness to work full-time on site in Naples, Italy
