Spencer Riley is collaborating with a growing fire protection contractor, and we are currently seeking a Design Engineer – Fire Sprinklers to join their multi-disciplinary technical team. The role involves producing high-quality sprinkler system designs for commercial and residential developments across the UK, working within LPC and BS EN standards, and coordinating with wider project teams throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed fire sprinkler system designs using industry-specific software (e.g. AutoSPRINK, Revit, or similar)
• Ensure designs comply with LPC, BS EN 12845, NFPA, and relevant building regulations
• Work closely with internal project teams, consultants, and installation engineers
• Assist in hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing
• Participate in design meetings and contribute to value engineering
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for system components

  

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in sprinkler system design within the fire protection industry
• Working knowledge of LPC, BS EN, or NFPA design standards
• Proficient in CAD-based design software (AutoSPRINK, Revit, or similar)
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and within a hybrid setup
